couture.

Flicking through some of the latest Paris couture shows at work today (and yes, it was actually for work – hella yes), and there are some incredible designs and beauties coming out at the moment. Christian Dior took my breath away, above all the rest.

My words won’t do the collection justice, but these are the comments that come to mind: like a fluffy marshmallow, drapings of silk sheets, bubble wrap, tessellation, lace doilies. These are definitely where Raf Simons found the inspiration. And I’m glad he did.

Honestly, for a couture collection I would happily wear any of those pieces, and I can safely say I have never thought that before.

Once I avoided all these high-end, big-name labels that I commonly associated with rich old ladies living in Mosman. I’ll admit – I was even reluctant to click on the show and view the snaps. Raf has turned these visions around and my prejudices are no longer there.

I LOVE CHRISTIAN DIOR. There. Out in the open. So fetch.
