This is probably my last post for the year of 2015. Slightly scary. After looking back over the year, I’ve decided that I spent far too much time whinging and wishing for more. I’d constantly tell myself to “just do it”, but it never went far.
The goal for 2016 is to get rid of a bit of that, a mind detox. Instead of sitting on my ass, just going for what I desire, and not be afraid of ruining the daily schedule. Maybe blog posts will become more sporadic, maybe not, but at least my life will have more to tell. I encourage you all to do the same, and then let’s regroup and discuss. Share some of these new adventures and enlightening moments.
It will leave more time for me to explore my long-standing dreams of exploring natural dyes, and creating something of it. I’ve been inspired lately by Gamma Folk’s foray into this aspect of sustainability – an ethos built on mindfulness, through the dyes, only using what is needed, and creating pieces that are long-lasting. The label produces beautiful necklaces, earrings and scarves with a natural tribal feel – the only statement piece you could ever need. A studio to die for as well.
