anatomy of :: belted.

Following on from my neck-thing obsession, I’ve recently become re-accustomed and fallen re-in-love with the belt. Mainly because my collection has extended from one waist belt that can only be worn so often, or too much near-outfit-repeating, to that of at least four varieties. All for free. Donated by my very own boyfriend and grandmother.

Winning factors :

– My jeans no longer fall down! Very important, and makes for less uncomfortable journeys through the city. No stopping in the middle of the road to adjust anymore.

– Black jeans and a black top are made way more interesting with a bit of bling sandwiched in the middle. Colour blocking is now encouraged.

– The ability to look like a pirate. Last week I legitimately felt like I was subconsciously inspired by pirates for my day’s outfit. My latest vintage white oversized shirt ( complete with some beading and lace details ), patterned pants ( because pirates are crazy ), black boots, all topped off with a black belt featuring some gold bounty bling in the centre.

– Feels like you are being constantly hugged around the waist.

Win win win.
